Any excuse to feature more images of welcome swallows...Just a quick heads up. To my surprise and delight, my poem Welcome Swallow was awarded 2nd Prize in the Newcastle Poetry Prize 2024. To be in such good company was a prize anyway, but getting a mention like this from judges like Caitlin Marling and Peter Boyle is a joy.
